Captain Agreement
This agreement applies to anyone who uses Khodni Maak as a captain and supplements the Terms of Use. By activating captain mode you agree to it.
1. Nature of the relationship
- A captain is an independent user publishing trips they are already making on their own account. A captain is not an employee or agent of the Platform, and is not contracted to provide transport in its name.
- The Platform is a coordination tool, not a transport operator or carrier. It does not direct captains or set their routes or schedules.
- The Platform does not guarantee a captain any number of bookings or any income.
2. Captain and vehicle requirements
For as long as they use the Platform, the captain confirms and undertakes that:
- They hold a valid driving licence appropriate to the vehicle category.
- The vehicle is registered and roadworthy.
- They hold the insurance the law requires for the vehicle. The Platform provides no insurance cover for the captain, passengers or vehicle.
- They have checked for themselves that sharing rides is consistent with applicable laws and regulations and with the terms of their insurance policy, and they accept responsibility for this.
3. Verification
The captain provides the information and documents required to verify their account and vehicle, confirms they are accurate and valid, and keeps them up to date. Verification is a check of the information submitted. It is not a certification by the Platform of the captain's competence or the vehicle's condition.
4. Subscription
- The captain subscription is 10 Jordanian dinars per 30 days.
- The Platform charges no commission on trips or seats.
- An active subscription is required to publish trips and receive bookings.
[Renewal and refund terms to be completed after legal review.]
5. Publishing and managing trips
- Captains publish trips they genuinely intend to make, with an accurate route, time and number of seats.
- Captains set the pickup hubs and the maximum detour they will accept.
- Captains are free to accept or decline booking requests, provided a refusal is not for discriminatory reasons.
- Captains honour the bookings they accept and confirm boarding with the trip PIN.
6. Payments from passengers
Captains receive passengers' shares directly by CliQ, outside the Platform. The Platform does not collect these amounts, guarantee that they are paid or take part in transferring them. The captain is responsible for any legal or tax obligations arising from what they receive.
7. Cancellations
Captains follow the Cancellation Policy, cancel in the app as early as possible when a trip cannot go ahead, and return any amount received in advance for a trip that did not take place.
8. Conduct and safety
Captains follow the Community Guidelines and traffic law, do not drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs or when fatigued, and do not carry more passengers than the seats published.
9. Passenger data
Captains use passenger details revealed after a booking is accepted only to coordinate the trip, and do not keep or share them for any other purpose.
10. Suspension and termination
The Platform may suspend or end captain status where inaccurate information is submitted, where cancellations or no-shows are repeated, where serious safety reports are received, or where this agreement is breached. A captain may stop using the Platform at any time.
11. Liability
The captain bears full responsibility for their driving, their vehicle and the trips they carry out. To the extent permitted by law, the Platform is not liable for accidents, offences, damage or disputes arising from trips.
