Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of the Khodni Maak platform (the “Platform”), including the website and the web app. By using the Platform you agree to these terms and to the related policies.
1. What Khodni Maak is
Khodni Maak is a coordination tool. It lets a person who is already driving a given trip (the “Captain”) publish it, and lets a person whose route and schedule fit (the “Passenger”) reserve a seat. Trips are scheduled in advance or recurring; this is not an on-demand service.
- The Platform is not a transport operator, a carrier or a taxi service. It owns no vehicles and employs no Captains.
- The Platform is not an emergency service and does not provide incident response. In an emergency, call 911.
- The ride arrangement is made directly between Captain and Passenger. The Platform is not a party to it.
2. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform.
- You agree to provide accurate, up-to-date information and to keep your sign-in details confidential.
- You are responsible for all activity carried out through your account.
3. Passengers
- Using the Platform is free for Passengers.
- A booking request is only confirmed once the Captain accepts it.
- You agree to be at the pickup point on time and to confirm boarding with the trip PIN.
- You pay your share directly to the Captain, outside the Platform, as described in the Payments Policy.
4. Captains
In addition to these terms, Captains are bound by the Captain Agreement. The Captain alone is responsible for their vehicle, licence, insurance and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
5. Fees
- Passengers: no Platform fee.
- Captains: a subscription of 10 Jordanian dinars per 30 days, with no commission on trips or seats.
- Amounts a Passenger pays a Captain are transferred directly outside the Platform. The Platform does not receive or hold them.
6. Matching and displayed information
The route match score, detour estimates and suggested backup rides are indicative aids. The Platform does not guarantee that a trip will be available, that arrival times are accurate or that any trip will take place.
7. Safety tools
The Platform provides tools such as Captain and vehicle verification, a boarding PIN, phone numbers hidden until a booking is accepted, and a share-my-trip link. These tools help reduce risk, but they are not a guarantee of any user's conduct or any vehicle's condition, and they do not replace your own judgement.
8. Prohibited use
- Using the Platform to carry prohibited goods or for any unlawful purpose.
- Impersonating someone else or submitting misleading information or documents.
- Harassing, abusing or discriminating against any user.
- Collecting other users' data or using it for anything other than the trip.
- Attempting to disrupt the Platform or gain unauthorised access to its systems.
Conduct rules are set out in the Community Guidelines.
9. Suspension and termination
We may restrict, suspend or close any account that breaches these terms or puts other users at risk. You may stop using the Platform and ask for your account to be deleted at any time.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Platform is not liable for the conduct of users, for accidents, damage or loss arising from trips, or for financial disputes between Captain and Passenger. The Platform does not provide insurance cover for trips.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with the date of the last update, and continuing to use the Platform after publication means you accept it.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. [Operator entity details and the dispute-resolution clause to be completed after legal review.]
